How do people save family information and why do they often lose it?
When you open your storage what do you see at first? There are mostly photos of you, your relatives and friends — captured moments you enjoy and recall, maybe some important documents, music etc.
Cision revealed that:
· 75% of these parents save their kids’ pictures or videos, and this percentage rises to 86% for people with kids aged from 3 to 5.
· 92% of these parents store their images and videos online. 57% use their computer’s hard drive, 53% prefer social media, 30% choose an external hard drive, 26% use photo-sharing websites, and 14% prefer cloud-based storage.
It was also found out that:
· Nearly 47% of parents did not think about how they would share the pictures and videos they have with children as they get older.
· Surprisingly, 33% of these parents worry that their kids won’t be able to access any of the old pictures or movies since they are stored in so many different locations and may be lost.
The problem is that people cannot save memories in one place, save it online and face data breaches, move to another flat and lose paper photos. But fortunately, we know how to cope with it.
Bank of Memories created a unique service for families based on decentralization. Storage is completely reserved and service was made especially for families to help preserve the essentials.
