Every Ukrainian has experienced lots of emotions. We felt fear and love, pain and pride, courage and inviolability. Today we want to share with you life war stories. Each is unique and impressive.
A 14-year-old boy Sasha from Bucha risked his life to save younger brother and sister. When the city was occupied and Russian troops were on the streets, the boy was not scared. There was no electricity and water supply. Every day Sasha went outside to find water and food for his family. The boy knew that he could not have returned, but his love to family was too strong to allow them to suffer from hunger and thirst.
Olena Kurylo is a choreographer from Chuguiv — a town situated near Charkiv. Olena is extremely happy to survive. She was injured because of an explosion near her house and, unfortunately, lost the ability to see. Olena refused to go abroad for medical treatment and wants to stand with Ukraine until victory. Now she is safe and believes in the power of her nation.
Maryna is an entrepreneur from Kyiv. In the first hours of war she decided to leave the city. Maryna spent 15 hours getting to her relatives, who live in Western Ukraine. Woman wanted to contribute to Ukraine’s victory and organized volunteer work. She and her friends now help hundreds of people, who lost their homes. Maryna knows that national unity and courage will bring us peace.
