How web3 will change the internet
We continue to examine news of the digital world and dive into details of the web. Let’s recall what web means, so it is an information retrieval system. We use it every day by just opening a browser. In our previous articles, we wrote about the history of network (from web1 to web3) and also looked into web3 features.
Now, we are going to focus on practical usage of web3 technologies and find out how exactly it will change the internet. We will review the key features of web 3 and give a particular example of changes they bring with.
Decentralization. Customers will gain entire control over their data and benefit from encryption security. Now we have already got used to it that large corporations such as Google, Amazon or Facebook possess lots of our private information, from food choices to income and credit card information. Because of government regulations corporations must either pass over user data or risk having their entire database reviewed. Centralized storages remain under threat of cybercrime. More and more customers wish they had more security on the Internet. That is why web browsers will also be different. Google Chrome or Safari can be replaced by BraveBrowser.
Owing to web 3 the way users store information on the internet will alter. It means that net giants need to worry about their future. Amazon, Google Drive, iCloud, OneDrive, Dropbox are expected to be soon replaced by decentralized services such as Storj, Filecoin or Maidsafe. The last new storage providers of web 3 are completely safe and less expensive, they work on principle of exchanging encoded information (decentralization). No doubt that these companies will attract consumers in the long run.
